Chemistry is not the whole story
The spark matters to me. I just don’t let it make every other decision anymore.
I know what it feels like to meet someone and immediately want to know everything about them. Conversation gets fast, eye contact feels different, and suddenly an ordinary evening becomes a story you tell your friends the next morning.
I love that feeling. But I’ve learned that chemistry can tell me I’m interested without telling me whether the relationship will actually feel good.
Compatibility is quieter. It shows up in values, timing, communication, lifestyle, and whether two people can handle a disappointing moment without turning it into drama.
The best connection, for me, is starting to look like both: enough chemistry to feel exciting, and enough steadiness that I don’t spend the next day decoding it.
